Strengthen Our Covenant

Improving your Marriage with God

Verse of the Month

"And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (KJV)

Devotional of the month

Marriage was never designed to be carried in our own strength. This verse reminds us that a husband and wife are stronger together, but true strength comes when God is woven into the center. Just as a cord of three strands cannot easily be broken, a marriage anchored in Christ has a resilience that can endure seasons of hardship, misunderstanding, or weariness.

As husband and wife, you are called to support one another, to stand united against challenges, and to build a love that reflects Christ’s love for the church. When Christ is the third strand in your relationship, your union becomes more than a partnership, it becomes a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

prayer for couple

Lord, thank You for joining us together in marriage. Help us to remember that we are strongest when You are at the center of our love. Teach us to support one another, to forgive quickly, and to remain united in Your Word. May our marriage be a threefold cord that glorifies You. Amen.
